Plant Description:

Green Envy is a hardy Echinacea that blooms mid- July thru mid-August.   What sets this plant apart from the other Echinacea's is that the bloom emerges as beautiful, lime-green, with rounded petals that have a soft “kiss” of pink near the dark green cone.  As this flower matures it’s cone gradually changes to a dark purple and the petals elongate.  What started as a soft kiss of pink grows into a magenta wave of color that starts at the cone and washes 2/3 the way up the petal.   The flower then remains a two-tone.

This coneflower stands 24” high and grows 18” wide.  Its blooms measure 4-5” wide.  The flower size makes them excellent for cut flower arrangements or for drying.  The blooms are also very fragrant and highly attractive to Hummingbirds and Butterflies. Further attributes include drought tolerance and deer resistance making it a welcome addition to the Wisconsin plant family.

This is a coneflower like no other and is a true collector’s plant.
