Plant Description:
The pyramid-shaped flowers add a nice touch in late summer when other flowers
are spent and you are waiting for this colorful beauty. It keeps up the show
into fall when the chartreuse to ivory flowers become pink-tinged. The green and
pink blooms together are exquisite.
The exquisite 12" flower
balls blend beautifully with the gold's and darker hues of late summer. Soft
lime green petals mature eventually to a deep rich pink, contrasting wonderfully
on the same plant. Immense flowers dry well for bouquets and hold up well as cut
flowers to make jaw-dropping bouquets. Display is not disturbed by cold
temperatures, or soil pH. Can be grown in a container if protected from winter
freezing.
Plant Care
Can be left untouched, or previous year's wood can be pruned back to leave only
two buds at the base of each stem in very early spring. Pruning in this way
encourages large panicles
